I found this book at a very difficult time in my life and I had never felt so perfectly represented by a protagonist in all of my life, and I still don’t think I have since then. Though I’ve grown out of being the targeted demographic in a technical sense, I think this story will mean something to everyone. I hope to someday find my peace and healing the way Charlie has.

Might be the outlier here, but this film was so viscerally uncomfortable due to the subject matter(and intentionally so, I’d say) that seeing anyone describe this as ‘camp’ makes me think we watched a completely different movie. I will say, however, that I can understand such a read with specific scenes and certain line deliveries… I just wasn’t seeing the argument for the entire film.
