THIS IS TRYING SO HARD TO BE SOMETHING IT'S FAR FROM BEING.

Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it just has LOTS of flaws to it. Starting off with what bothered me the most (mind you I literally just left cineplex): the camerawork. It's so obvious that Levinson tried to mimic here some sort of Martin Scorsese-esque style, and it just didn't work. The weird trucks, the MISERABLE attempt of prolonging the sequences, the AWFUL random cuts... it just…

Cinematography was BUSS‼️ I literally want to give Robert Eggers a big smooch bc this was SOOO eerie and claustrophobic, istg the 4:3 ratio was so ingenious, AND THE SEAGULLS AND THE FOGHORN UGHHHH😩😩😩😩

Not to mention the acting!! Willem Dafoe's sailor accent was so good (even though I didn't understand a thing that he said), and even though Robert Pattinson's... whatever the fuck accent he was aiming for wasn't that... clear..? I still liked it. Their chemistry was really good imo, and I think it's one of my favorite Eggers movies so far.

I jumped when I saw the bald spot on his head

    Girl why are…

    nosfreakatu.

beautifully done, robert eggers' remake of the 1922 classic is a pleasant surprise to end the year with! (or start, rather).

i must say, the acting was brilliant! lily really delivered a great performance, and so did the great willem dafoe, but my oh my!! bill skarsgård!
i knew he was in the movie as nosferatu, but i couldn't find a single trace of his being in the character (other than his remarkable height, of course). the way he…
