Dawn of the planet of the apes is an incredible movie with almost nothing bad about it. This is the movie where we shift focus from the humans to the apes and that was the best decision for this franchise, Caesar is still the most interesting character however the antagonist, Koba, is almost just as interesting and as cool of a character. Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011
This trilogy is honestly one if the most underrated trilogies ever, with that being said I do think this is definitely the weakest of the three. Obviously Caesar is the most interesting character to watch in this movie which I don't mind but i do find whenever he’s not on screen i’m not as interested in whats going on. James Franco character isn't terrible just a little bit bland. Although plenty of scenes still give me chills like the first time Caesar speaks. over all even though its the weakest in the trilogy I still think its a great film.

Look, the movie is good. The acting is good of course the themes the movie explores is interesting and their is plenty to like about it… but omg I’m sick of hearing from filmbros that this is one of the greatest movies ever, the plot twist was so predictable I saw it coming the first time I saw it and the third act is so ridiculous, like he shot a piece of his brain out and he’s just walking around like bumped his head. But it’s still a good movie with some funny scenes and some great acting I just think it’s very overrated.
