Between Two Ferns: The Movie 2019
As someone who once worked at Funny Or Die, I probably should be more supportive of this movie. But honestly it’s a hot mess that comes across like a 90 minute sketch that was only half planned. There are some laughs in here. Definitely some good moments. But the film seems very rushed and the script just isn’t there.
The story is pretty weak and they either needed to put more into it or lean harder into the ferns interviews…

I really wanted to like this more than I did, but the narration really dumbed down the storytelling. The film really relies on the use of this too much and it felt poorly executed. Comes off as basic exposition delivery more often than a true inner monologue.
