  Absolutely insane sakuga and a pretty crazy and ambitious plot for what it is. Definitely more entertaining and full of depth compared to other anime tie-in films. Would not score this nearly as low as the current Letterboxd average

  It wasn’t as obvious from the trailers, but after seeing the whole movie, you can tell this was made for Disney+. This was visually worse than the first film — not bad, but worse. Which shouldn’t be the truth for a film that came 8 years later. The songs are overall weaker here, the extra cast members are kind of unmemorable, and the character that was set up as a “villain” was barely used and just cast aside as setup…
