How could you not LOVE this movie!!!
Every actor is bringing their A-Game. The story is so weird and wonderful. It’s is so funny and so sad and so scary! A mild Lynch movie but with some classic Lynchian strangeness. Rossellini is STUNNING 😍 Dern is magnificent and lovable.
Nothing but LOVE for this movie! And adore a happy ending 💛

this movie is a warm cup of tea with honey.
Not to get super personal but peace was not a very common place for me as a child. But movies were a way of finding it and this film was my ultimate comfort. It feels more wandering and story-like. The plot meanders and flows in and out. Sort if like the river. Sequences come and go and do so with such beautiful watercolored landscapes, serene music, and calm voices.

In vibes, reminds me so much of Persona but I know Lynch is doing his own incredible thing. Dreamlike, the illusions of hollywood. Predetermination and the figures that run the show.
