Her 2013
I came back on letterboxed just to rant about how unbearable I thought this film was. Creeping horror and a sense of alienation throughout (which I think was part of the point?). Beautiful cinematography and syrupy dialogue jarring and uncomfortable. It asks the question, what if awful lonely sad man could connect to his computer in a way he can't connect to other humans? Interesting premise but a difficult watch. Felt so empty and had to vape lots!
