While I prefer the 2002 version, as a miniseries the story has more time to establish the characters, and it made each one’s demise more impactful. From what I understand this is also quite faithful to the novel. Not as redemptive of a story, but this version still deserves a high recommendation.

What Is a Woman? 2022
Fair, balanced and well crafted. Walsh clearly has a strong opinion on one side of this issue. But he allows everyone their chance to make a case. And it’s fascinating how quickly things fall apart from there.
Letterboxd is apparently run by hacks and cowards who can’t stand to let the ratings and reviews be revealed for this legitimate and highly viewed documentary.

This so very important.
The 5 stars is not to imply the movie is perfect. The filmmaking displayed here, the script, the acting....all severely lacking. Not very impressive at all. I think those things considered, it’s about 1 1/2 stars. That however, is not the goal of Unplanned.
Is the message too heavy-handed? Too preachy? Yeah, I think so.....unfortunately it may not attract or convince many people to see this movie who aren’t already pro-life. But just maybe, this will…
