  Cinematography went hard.  Yes, 109 Cardinals is an inherently striking image, but they really took advantage and this film is STUNNING

  mostly this was incredibly cheesy and not a great adaptation of the book, but that was to be expected and it was a perfectly fine turn-my-brain-off-and-veg, silly-little-queer-romance watch. It was cute and I had fun.

  finally a modern film that embraces the musicale form with real choreography and grand scale a-la Grace Kelly or Fred Astaire dance films, but with modern design, production and effects capabilities; beautiful to watch, and the songs slayed—plot and performances didn’t wow me though I fear :/  except Johnathan Bailey. Always holding space for him <3
