  Honestly after reading the book I thought there was no way this could be done well as a film. Proved so wrong. Such a stunning film. Cut out bits of the book that were dated and added fresh ideas with subtlety, while also being stunning in every way.

  I watched this film without realising it was directed by Spielberg, and thought that it was by a relatively unknown director. I found myself gradually more and more impressed as the film went on at how masterfully the difficult futuristic dystopia was portrayed both visually and using a perfectly weighted amount of exposition.
