  First time, finally. What a special film. Def the most lighthearted Lynch project I’ve seen.. obv still filled with some pretty dark and heavy material but the movie has a very purposeful levity and sense of humor that’s not present in many of his other movies. Probably why it feels closest to the soapy-then-fucked energy of Twin Peaks S1 and S2. And of course him filling the cast with Peaks regulars doesn’t hurt.
