Was surprised by how good this film actually was. The lighting was great and felt like the picture had good texture. The camera shots weren't anything special, they felt standard. The music was better than most films but nothing unforgettable. Still a very good movie.
Visually it had top notch cinematography paired with a trance like score. Didn't enjoy the music with vocals in it and I think one song was used twice. Still a very good score. The acting from Ryan Gosling is pretty much what you'd expect from him, sort of reserved and robotic which isn't necessarily bad at all. The pacing of the film begins fast then brings you to a slow cruise into explosive scenes of action. The only real complaint I have is the story, seemed somewhat bland and I feel like I've seen it done before.
At first I didn't think I would like this film as much as I did but once I got pulIed into the story it turned into one of the best phsycological thrillers I've seen. The story and its progression throughout is like a drug, you get a little of the story then you're hooked and want to see what's next. The best part about this movie is the writing. The camera shots were pretty good. I enjoyed the music, it hit perfectly when parts are meant to be elegant and terrifying when it needed to be. Overall this film is gold.
Just a all around masterpiece of a film. You don't need to be a fan of horror films to enjoy this one. John Krasinski's 3rd film as a director has made quiet the splash with bringing together awesome performances from his cast and getting the most intense tension out of certain scenes.
I'll give tons of respect to the producers of A Quiet Place for bringing a great story with very little script and the best crew to bring this…
