  A action filled rhomp through what remains of civilization after something happened. There are times that some of the VFX show the movie's lower budget. They should have leaned harder into gimmick and B-levelness to help breathe more life into this adventure. A voilent, fun time when all is said and done.

  This may be the best animated stop motion film I have ever seen! Guillermo del Toro is a man of his craft. From cinematography to music to story and world building it is clear to see this film had his full attention and then some. A love letter of the original Pinocchio story reimagined into early 1900s Italy. This story doesn't just fit the setting, but also the original tone. Life lessons, heart, and emotional growth are scattered through this tale. I will be rewatching.

  I think Harrison Ford knocked it out of the park with this one. The effects are crazy good. Overall the story is really enjoyable with highs and lows. I only found minor issues with some moments, but overall I really enjoyed this and want a second viewing.
