  shallow as fuck. the movie clearly has conceptions of ideas but zero convictions behind them. the first thirty minutes set up something with potential to be good but there was no follow through. superficial characters, bad writing, a central plot that makes no sense with five seconds of thought. great actors, great (gross) sfx, meaningless on every other front. how hollywood is filled with talented actors but awful writers i’ll never know.
