In terms of plot, it’s not really up to the movie to take credit for it, but it takes however all the credit in the world for how it translates Tolstói’s romantic environment into a constant stage, as if we’re permanently in a theatre.
In the beginning of every scene, you can freeze the frame and almost see a painting. It’s overwhelming the constant attention to beauty and detail, from start to finish.
And besides, it’s a good inside joke to see Keira and Matthew act together again 💫
