While I know it’s above its time in artistic direction for the 1930s, I just couldn’t get into the plot. I found this film very boring after the first 20 mins.

Music by John Williams 2024
With such a legend as John Williams who has an extraordinary catalog of talent, they didn’t spend enough time on my two favorite films (Superman and Hook). It’s a wonderful and loving experience but we’ve heard the love story between him and Spielberg. If you don’t know it by now, you don’t watch films. As much as I love them both, they could have done this his story possibly spending more time on others to change it up a little bit. Not much new hear to learn.

Horrible, boring, annoying and emotionless film. Such a waste of time. I don’t know why anyone made this film. It’s basically Julianne Moore having divorced sex with John Turturro. You never feel the passion or love chemistry between the two. Such a time suck. 😴 Save your money. The only reason I gave this movie a 1/2 star is because it has a great soundtrack of late 70s music.

This film is too busy trying to do two things at once and loses its identity. It’s too busy trying to make sure the audience isn’t uncomfortable. Well isn’t that missing the point of the main message of the film? Why include the rom-com aspect to the film at all?
