I was impressed with Kravitz's directing sensibilities. She's can frame a very beautiful shot and the use of color is quite striking. While the story does meander for a bit with too much spent on the hedonistic pastimes on the island, the reveal and payoff impart those scenes with greater context. I was a tad disappointed with the denouement, though I do find it satisfying. I mean, if you're doing something that was done to you, does that make you a better person? Love the quick "cameo" of Lenny Kravtiz via the meme video of him working out in his rockstar regalia.

Caught the "Early Access Adrenaline Rush" presentation tonight. Very enjoyable. Jack Quaid is wonderful as the title character. The premise is terrificly silly that the film plays like a live-action cartoon at times. That, and a pseudo-superhero flick, with Quaid transforming from a mild-mannered type to an action man. It's wonderfully entertaining and certainly worth a view.

I was fortunate enough to attend a showing over at the Veranda LUXE Cinema and I must recommend that if…

A solid picture that’s structured as a chase film, with Tarzan pursuing a group of diamond thieves up river. At times, I was reminded of Joseph Conrad’s HEART OF DARKNESS while watching this. The film is most compelling with the character interactions, despite the exotic locations and solid action. Tarzan is played by Gordon Scott as a no-nonsense, purpose-driven, beefy slab of an Ape Man. He’s on the hunt and all he wants is to kill the diamond thieves. Tarzan…
