Finally got to see one of my favourite films & one of the films that’s had the biggest impact on me in theatres.

When I first saw this film I was so worried about if things would work out for Lady Bird at the end, and I realized I was really so worried about myself and I had seen so much of myself in her.

Connecting so hard with characters like this has been a big part of me discovering my gender identity. And rewatching it now I find myself a little less worried about the both of us.

Also Greta Gerwig is the best.

Even silly comedy movies used to look this stylized? What happened to movies, man.

Crazy that Ben Stiller went from directing this to Severance.

No offence to RDJ but Tom Cruise is easily the funniest part of this whole thing.

The perfect stupid fun bad movie to watch and make fun of. Weirdly stacked cast with even an early-ish Florence Pugh appearance.

Extremely annoying centrist shit. Constantly talking about how everyone on all sides of the political spectrum are idiots but maybe have a point sometimes.

Has the exact kind of cowardly inability to commit to any real beliefs that Christopher Nolan, of all people, sharply critiqued with Oppenheimer.

Promises a surreal Alice in wonderland story with its great opening musical number before becoming something that just constantly subverts everything it portrays just for the sake of trying to seem subversive.

Like my friend said, it’s basically just a twitter rant. And I’ve seen many more interesting Twitter rants tbh. Talia Ryder rocks tho.

    Man, come on.

None of what I liked about Longlegs is present here. Apart from a few good jokes it’s largely unfunny, and certainly not scary. So it quickly becomes a chore to get through. Also very heavily reeks of the issues that come from stretching a short story into a feature film.

And perhaps worst of all, it’s just really dumb.
