A world dripping with neon and steeped in grime, where the technologic, sociopolitical, and authoritative tendencies are uncomfortably similar to our own.     A fascinating time capsule (it's not lost on me that the rapist is a greasy haired Italian archetype, not the all American footballer type). The character of Ann and her understandable reaction to her assault was great, but the implication that rape is a purely mental problem and not a societal one, not so much.
