  A different experience to yesterday's documentary as I was a lot less familiar with most of the films, but equally fascinating, and I think you can expect me to watch some of the Italian movies covered here in the future.

  Some of the most interesting stuff here was actually when Scorsese talked about his own childhood, and film footage of his grandparents. Given how personal he got at times, and how central the films they made together were, I was surprised that Scorsese never mentioned that he was married to Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman's daughter.

  For better or worse, Zack Snyder is the only real auteur currently working in the superhero genre, and on the basis of this, it's for the better.

  So much better than the original cut it's not even funny.
