  The other day Imogen Heap gave a talk at the Southbank Centre about her experiments with AI and vision for future projects. She essentially described it as a utopian tool that would revolutionise music and artistic possibilities. Later, she was joined in conversation by an industry figure (I missed their intro) who quite respectfully pushed back and questioned how AI in art would impact the already-merciless lifecycle of young artists who were often catapulted to stardom on TV talent shows…

  Recently rewatched this with a drummer and found myself pausing every five minutes to reiterate the importance of hearing protection. I made them swear to me!!!!

  Love the lived-in quality of this movie. Even with minimal backstory I feel like I know these people.

  The broad derision of this film strikes me as such a puritanical, infantilising way to approach the work, the subject and its audience. Artistic license taken here isn't any more egregious than in the facile, candy-coated biopics designed to win Oscars and sell greatest hit soundtracks.. If anything, this abstract approach couches Norma Jeane the Person with a greater degree of empathy.
