I am very impressed with the cinematography of this movie. The fact that Austin Butler sang all the songs himself is very impressive. The dances, accent, and pure imitation of Elvis is amazing. The switch between clips of Elvis to Austin playing Elvis set this movie as a movie of the year candidate.

The cinematography for this is amazing with the notable kubrick stare. What makes this movie one of the bests is the writing and the raunchy sarcasm and rudeness. The first half of basic training is what truly makes this movie. The second half was slow but made a impactful pow on the war movie genre.
