  The Whale is movie built by its performances, I think that much is clear, and the performances are exceptional. Brendan Fraser manages to evoke so much personality, hope, and character through the many prosthetics he wears. I should also go ahead and give props to that department, too.   I tried to make a game out of this movie. I tried to ironically get all hyped for it, ironically go to the earliest showing I could, ironically say how excited I was, all to try and make it hurt less.
