  As a self identifying "weird arts kid" this movie really resonated with me. From taking an artistic pursuit very seriously and feeling critical of its success, to having a family dynamic that leaves plenty of room to do your own thing, to going all-in on a crush that wasn't there to begin with.

  I read the book and I liked it a lot.
  I read books 2 and 3 and liked them both to varying degrees.
  I like David Lynch and I like Kyle MachLachlan.
  I like movies that try to adapt the fine details of its source material.
