My third Director Bong film? This guy’s just got such a cool voice. Really made his own flavor in this medium. There’s a lot to unpack and chew on in this one — lots of themes and allegory. I personally was tethered more to the concept of “reprinting” and death. Pattinson absolutely slays it. I mean wow. Naomi just under him too. I think I need to watch it again to further gather everything it offers.

You know what I really love about this one — it’s addressing one of the many dark truths of life: death. It’s a harsh truth we want to ignore. Its inevitability. And how evil it can be. Also picked up a few nuggets this time around.

I think this one is only slightly better than PART ONE. You watch both these PG-13 versions and can really feel how tamed, safe, and watered down they are. There are obvious moments that are meant for a certain emotion that just don’t feel earned because of the lack of screen time or character moments. The third act of this is all out war though and there’s a really compelling set piece/action with…

I’ve loved superheroes and movies since I was a kid. Superhero movies are a dime a dozen nowadays and I ain’t complainin’. Some good, some great, some bad. This right here, my friend, is some of that great.

A true epic. The mythical lore that the plot is driven by gives it that unique feeling of old-fashioned, epic storytelling that you don’t see in these…
