I didn’t really have expectations for this one until I heard about it recently. It’s better than my initial instinct but doesn’t meet the intensity of the trailers.
The first act gripped me very well and the story it tells is intriguing and original enough, but is pretty messily handled in act three.
The cast lives up to their reputations and there are some pretty fantastic dynamics and scenes. The tone of those scenes could’ve been utilized better throughout and this film probably needed a little more time to breathe toward the ending.
