Pleasant movie.
I really enjoyed the fusion of Victorian sailing/attire/weapons with futuristic space stations/space travel. It makes for a very charming setting. Literally sailing the stars with swashbuckling pirates!

I like that Magic Fascism isn’t defeated by just the Fellowship. It’s defeated by many other people rising to the occasion (riding to meet the enemy head on, as Aragorn would say).
Frodo, Sam, and Gollum get back into Mordor because Faramir does the right thing. Eowyn chooses to fight. Rivendell sends a platoon of archers to Helm’s Deep. Galadriel gives the fellowship gifts that all come in handy. Bilbo gifts Frodo his mithril shirt.
Middle Earth isn’t saved by only the “Heroes.” It’s saved by everyone who stands up against evil.
My dad loves this family of documentaries about the Wrecking Crew and such.
Interesting insights into how the Recording industry hotdogs got made in the 70s and 80s with fun stories about what that world was like from the artists.
A line that Leland Sklar in the doc drops
“When everything goes to hell, you can stand on the corner as a CEO and I’ll stand on the corner and play music, we’ll see who gets paid first”
Seen at Flix Brewhouse in Madison, WI.
Beautifully animated! Very touching, feel-good story.
Big fan of how in some shots, the background looks painted. I greatly enjoyed the physical comedy of Ros’s movements.
The voice cast killed it in this movie. Every performance felt immaculate.
Hope Dreamworks continues to deliver movies like this!
