If you asked him, Johnny would say he would have been waxing lyrical in the agora with Socrates and Plato in 410BC, but really, he would have been at the bottom of a clay pipe sewer pissed out his mind and boring some rat to death.

I’d love to get a look at the data on the number of car wrecks caused by faxing while driving in the 90s.

I knew it was game over when I was balling my eyes out 10 minutes in. Stephen Graham is just a mad scientist doing crying experiments on my tear ducts whenever he’s on screen. It’s cruel.

I think Covid is basically an impossible topic to mention in film and tv, it always feels forced, reality-enforcing, and counter to the spirit of what a fictional story is supposed to be.

Help, gets a free pass. So gentle and warm and gut-wrenching…

CAMP ISN’T HOOOOOME, BUT IS IT KIND OF.

I actually wish they’d gone with Molly’s original song which is the type of shit I sing around my house on a daily basis. The difference is no one can tell mine are made up, everyone thinks they’re professionally written and pitch perfect.

Ayo was the expected highlight but she isn’t in it nearly enough. I also think Rachel Sennott should have been cast as her duo and we’d have a banger…

Your favourite director’s favourite movie (Stanley K)

Absolute all-timer for the psychological horror/thriller genre. Immaculate pacing both in terms of the cadence of the story, and the manner in which information is revealed to both Mia and the audience.

“Shut up, you’re in Dubrovnik, I don’t hear you” had be hollering at the tv, unbelievable burn.
