TOTDY is the most Refn thing, Refn has ever made. A stunning, brutal and awesome show, that occasionally suffers from its tediousness. A 13 hour crime epic with multiple characters and branching storylines, that all come together by the very end.
NWR's at his finest, as far as his meticulous directing is considered. The show is absolutely hypnotic and beautiful. He manages to create a dark and absorbing atmosphere, simply with his use of lighting. The soundtrack by Cliff Martinez…Translated from by

Mandy 2018
So Mandy, despite huge hype, did NOT disappoint.
Beautiful cinematography, amazing colours, a fantastic score, a great performance by Nicolas Cage, great practical effects, creativity and humour define this movie.
Having said that, I did find the first part of the story more engaging than the second and I was just a bit bored during the action packed second half. Maybe it was me thinking something other than violence would happen so a second viewing will help.

Godzilla (2014) was an awesome movie with some bad moments. This one is a bad movie with awesome moments. Would recommend it only to Godzilla fans. Badly paced. Poorly written. But every scene with Godzilla gave me goosebumps.
