  this movie just doesnt understand death note. it feels like they pivoted to a dark comedy halfway through development. in the manga, Light Yagami is interesting because he's average- normal. his father? a high ranking police chief. his mother deeply caring, and his younger sister is just like an annoying younger sister. the Yagami household is such a normal one that no one (Bar L) even suspects Light Yagami of being Kira. in the movie?
