One of Bong Joon Hos most fun films, but still retains his political point of view. Robert Pattinson was super charming and surprisingly funny. The creatures were cute and don’t u dare hurt them. 👽

Instantly among my favourites of Almodóvar. I love the food throughout this film, preparing food not only as a way to show love but also as a way to repent. The way this film is set in this faux-magical realism, echoing como agua para chocolate in so many ways with the food and the fire, and allowing us to enjoy in the melodrama all the more because we are not taking the events so literally. But then doubling down on…

While I consider the last of us part 2 a masterpiece in storytelling, the documentary about its creation unfortunately was not as interesting. Of course I don't think it was trying to be a particularly amazing documentary, more of a behind the scenes for fans of the game. There was some points where they tried to make it more interesting by drawing parallels to the story, but I think they felt more cheesy than artistic.

This movie is so special…. It has strong beautiful metaphors which are not exactly subtle but oh so poetic. And the allegory of the main plot, losing your innocence as you grow old effected by the world around you. Rémi is the incarnation of childhood and innocence and as you grow up sometimes you lose that, become less secure and loving because of anxiety and fear of the world. And it so sad and so heartbreaking to lose that freedom…
