  Between this and EWS (in which, of course, Powell is also the real star), the yet unofficial sub-genre “two bong-smoking and brewskies-drinking Texas-bros musing about identity and the self as an excuse for seeing how ridiculous an outfit you can dress Glen Powell up in, without him losing the status as the coolest guy in the world”, is officially the best thing about the movies.

  "Memory isnt a movie camera, is it?"

  A great piece of tight, charming and hysterical (in every sense of the word) meta-screwball-revivalism about acting out life on and off stage. Lubitsch almost touches himself.

  PS: The accidental and completely unlikely untangling of the multi- adultary love-hexagon at "that new Italian place" and the fact that theres always a getaway-cab available to escape from confrontation is the perfect cocktail of New York Comedy-quirk and Modern Urban Satire-cynicism.
