A fun time.
With its likeable cast, palatable cinematography, and digestible premise "Mickey 17" is an easy watch that provides further evidence for the flexibility of Bong Joon Ho's directorial skills. That said, its occasional on-the-nose commentary on debates surrounding female reproductive rights, Indigenous reconciliation, and the global rise of populist leaders can be off-putting for some.

This film’s score combined with its use of a variety of Roman languages makes a treat for polyglot cinephiles.
Ralph Fiennes is undoubtedly a highlight (especially when handling the Vatican turtles). The subtly, empathy, and nuance of his performance beyond justifies a screening of “Conclave” at your local theatre!
