Blade Runner 2049 2017
Holy Sh*t.
Even with Villeneuve's pedigree I was not expecting this to be as good as it was. Minor quibbles aside, Villeneuve has crafted something truly special and unique. More than a worthy follow up to the original film, this stands alone as a breathtaking work of sci-fi cinema. Deakins' cinematography is some of the best I've ever seen.
