quick review: Gay Thai Saltburn
Saw this movie at TIFF and really excellent to see queer characters existing in rural thailand. The actors, wardrobe, set, and cinematography give it their all. Each character is nuanced and the twist midway through takes this from a typical revenge story to something deeper. The Queen of My Dreams 2023
Just so so good. Love the homage to old Bollywood. Follows a millennial trend of films attempting to heal intergenerational trauma. Would have loved a more resolved ending but I guess that's life. New found respect for Amrit Kaur. That's a YorkU girlie!!!
