  Haven’t watched a Kitano movie in a while. Loved the Joe Hisaishi score as always. Stylistically and cinematography-wise this is classic Kitano although the story leaves you wanting more substance.

  Do we really need to see homophobic violence on screen for this long, only to get the perpetrator realizing it was wrong and crying because of it as the only resolution. Sorry not sorry for the spoiler. Atleast the performances were good.
