  instead of watching the stupid dumb oscars, i rewatched this and i couldn't be more appreciative of how i spent my time. an incredibly heartbreaking and raw film that i cant help but sob during the entire runtime. love it! hope it wins something tonight

  i think opus is objectively a good movie, but my problem with it lies in the fact that i've seen this movie about 100 times before. i've seen this type of story done better before in other films, like midsommar. take the white clothes they wear in that film and replace them with the blue they wear in this. but instead of weaving clever symbols and themes into the story, opus decides to lean into the tropes of the creepy…

  i thoroughly enjoyed this, it was really refreshing to see a christian movie with actually good characters and writing. im glad this movie was made and im glad i was able to see it with my parents. just a solid movie all around, even if i have some problems with the pacing towards the back half of it, im able to look past it because of the story its telling. had a lot of fun with this one.
