Matt Damon dresses up as my brother-in-law’s brother (roughnecks have a pretty consistent look) and at one point says “theater” like “thee-AY-turr”. I appreciate the amount of skillful eyeball acting that M-Dames had to do here, since drillin’ hole and sloppily absolving your daughter of murder are two activities that don’t typically lend themselves to dramatic displays of emotion.

This movie made me feel weird and had way more masturbation than I was expecting (which was none). It’s rife with symbolism and metaphor which means it’s going to bum out your friends when they watch it on your recommendation. This is the type of movie that would compel a member of my family to tell me “this is weird” like it’s breaking news to me and I haven’t been watching it for the last 47 minutes.
