Wow! What a great 30min opening.
I felt like I was reading a book but visually. The screenplay without a doubt is exciting.
The characters are so well tailored to make you feel like they were your foe, family or friend. Robert Pattinson's voice modulation is a character of its own. 'The Substance' is very reminiscent of David lynch's style of visual storytelling even if it's extremely uncomfortable to watch.
The climax was a bloody fucking orgy. The last 45 mins is just pure chaos which was beautiful to watch.
The pure premise of greed and fame of a singular being can never be portrayed better than 'The Substance'.
