Nightbitch 2024
I don’t like the changes they made from the book, but they didn’t really change the fundamental point of the book or anything materially that would make this anywhere near a bad film. Critics were way too harsh, if they thought this was a weird story, they should try reading the book! Four stars for the amazing performances of all three main actors (Amy Adams my beloved). It was a good choice to watch this one with my own mama.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me 1992
I love this fucking movie, dude. Sheryl Lee gives an absolutely career-defining performance, instantly making the show it spawned from infinitely better and worse for having her in it. I’m being serious, the lack of Laura in Twin Peaks is absolutely devastating to me after seeing this film. David Lynch is at his best here, backed by one of the best film scores, ever, by Angelo Badalamenti. Telling the story of the timeless evil and relentless damage that men do…
