this film is really engaging, even though i obviously missed the details due to not speaking italian. the relationship between Arturo and Pippi is definitely uncomfortable at times + crossing a professional boundary. the scene with the watermelon patch took my breath away, so beautiful and memorable. sergio castellitto looks the best in this film hands down. he has never been hotter. thank you to the filmmakers for lingering on his big brown eyes, and for showing me his legs, armpits, nipple and chest hair I'm indebted to you.Translated from by -

oh gosh i don't think i have ever cried harder in the cinema in my entire life this was just overwhelmingly soul-crushingly sad. and a good plug for birth control/staying childfree. beautiful set/production design but my eyes are stinging and my heart hurts ๐

there's nothing quite like sitting outside to watch this film at 8am on a cold morning before work thinking it will be a sweet uplifting story and then 8 minutes later sobbing into your hands before you have to go into the office. so much to love, tender and heartfelt and a beautiful rapport between the two characters. the acting from Genevieve is sublime, especially during her final confession; tears every time. i love the atmosphere and the little wireโฆ
