  Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999

  Upon what’s probably my 100th rewatch (this was on cable) my point remains the same: fumbling Darth Maul this badly should be considered a crime against humanity cause if you read the comics about him this movie feels like a slap in the face.

  The prequels really fumbled the ability to describe the Sith and their lore. Disney not making more shows primarily about Maul and pandering to these other stories will never make sense to me.

  as the pacifistic pussycat that I am the idea of going to war absolutely terrifies me & this movie leaves a pit in my stomach at the idea of how many young lives have been lost for “nationalism”

  regardless this movie is fucking amazing and the grit of men who fought in WWI is just insane as it truly just looks like automatic death sentence
