  bisexual panic and tennis… if someone showed me this movie when I was in high school I think I would have fainted. Real talk tho super great watch, visually in my top 3 of 2024, the script was incredible, and the score had no misses. My favorite out of all of Guadagnino’s films that I’ve seen so far.

  Robert Eggers once again proves he is a master of his craft. Unlike many of the previous adaptations of Bram Stokers masterpiece of gothic fiction "Dracula", Eggers' Nosferatu leans into the dread, shame and perversion that Vampires have long represented. The erotic nature of this film sends a powerful message about love, sexuality and feminism in a way I don't think many have quite grasped yet.   Round 4, only thing I really wanted to make note of is how after the movie Heather told me how nasty it was when she was touching Orlok all sensual and I responded by saying yeah that disgust you feel is the same that the people of the time felt towards any woman displaying sexuality outside of marriage. And while that’s probably obvious and not that deep of an analysis I found it to be an interesting point that’s been lost a bit when we talk about these monster romance stories.
