Midnight Cowboy 1969
When this film came out in 1969, my grandmother surprised folks by insisting on going to the theater to see it despite its X rating. She loved it and I love that story even more after watching it. Great film.

Barbarian 2022
My rating is totally a gut reaction and not necessarily a film critique. But I didn’t like this movie. Also major trigger warning (re: rape) to everyone on this. I know everyone says to go in blind but hell - that was not how I wanted to spend my Friday night at the movies and I would have liked to know at least that ahead of time. If I had known that, would have picked a different movie for date night. Fuck.
