Nothing else like this. Nobody else like him. A new level beyond tragedy and gut-wrenching devastation. Honestly don't think it's hyperbolic to state that Sheryl Lee achieves more in this one astounding performance than many significantly more prominent actors could only barely grasp at in their entire respective careers. Truly singular and unforgettable.

Yeah, definitely needed to sleep on this.
And I expect I'll still be unpacking it for a little while. Starting with the start; is there anyone out there right now taking the care to make opening credits sequences as arresting and immersive as Brady Corbet? All three of his films are exceptional in this regard - and, yes, more than a touch pretentious, but who fuckin' cares - to say nothing about his presentation of the credits themselves. Mesmeric.
