Night of the Comet 1984
This honestly accomplishes a pretty cool aesthetic without having to use a bunch of effects and stunts. I think the characters are pretty fun and the dialogue is pretty ridiculous, I just wish the lore was explored a bit more and the story furthered beyond the comedic nuclear family finish.
