Audition 1999
This film commits the worst crime in cinema: Being completely and utterly pointless. Absolutely nothing valid is said by the film and I’m honestly disturbed by the thought of people finding this film remotely enjoyable or appealing. Do yourself a favor and don’t watch this and/or forget it exists. I would say it’s one of the worst I’ve seen but that would imply this movie deserves more thought beyond this review.

Spike Lee's directorial debut and film career does not hit the ground running, but such is usually the case for this particular filmmaker. In my personal opinion, Spike Lee is one of those directors that was influential for the time, but will age poorly. This film says something that was particularly revolutionary during its initial release, even though it shouldn't've been.
