    There are three movie-going experiences I would call completely spellbinding, all having taken place this year. The first was watching Princess Mononoke in theaters as part of this year’s Ghibli Fest.     UGHHHHHH.

    This is exactly the action slop with horrid writing, flat attempts at humor, generic music, annoying needle drops, and ZERO good characters you think it is. Only reason I didn’t hate this more was because it at least had SOMETHING to say. Was it something fresh and new? No. Was it presented in a cool unique way? No. Was it profound in its exploration of said themes? No. But it was something, and when you watch shit like this, you really gotta take what you can get.

    Looking forward to never thinking about this again.
