This is it: this damn movie, it won me over entirely. I am absolutely enamored with Babylon.

An ode to cinema whilst an expose of the “asshole of Los Angeles” that is Hollywood. It perfectly encapsulated what I love about movies: all the effort it takes to capture the perfect shot; the hypnotic energy of seeing a motion picture on screen; seeing how production constantly evolves. Purely magic.
Damien Chazelle truly presents this (also another perfect banger from the man…

Waiter! More Welsh films please! Also, Richard Ayoade PLEASE make more movies! (I say this but I’ll literally consume anything the man is apart of, do your thing pal).

Shocked nobody feels the same.

Maybe I'm dumb? I feel like this movie isn't deep, emotional, or entertaining. So what's the point? What world is Cameron…

Stunning throughout. Love is a beautiful thing and this is a movie that cherishes that. All the joys, the lows, the awkwardness, the silliness, the determination. Total feel-good cinema.
