Trust movie strikes a perfect balance between light and dark, serious and unserious, showcasing women's turmoil with absurd humor and romance. Maria's quest for self-actualization stems from her genuine inquiries into the experiences of other women. The parent-child dynamic realistically highlights their desire to support their kids while avoiding honest communication. In contrast, everyone else in the film seems very forthcoming and willing to show their flaws. This was both absurd and frustrating at times, and I was charmed.
